Starting...

I've had a few times where the car takes a bit before it'll fire up.

One time it actually took three tries to get it to start. This is with full gas tanks and the oil is fine.

Anyone else noticed this? Its not a big thing for me as long as it starts really

there aren't many active 08 owners on this board so my opinion would be to call your dealership and ask them about it, or ask someone @ rrm, i know it might not be a big problem for you but it might turn into a bigger problem later on, plus its a new car so it shouldn't have any problems (including this one)

Yeah, it has only happened three times out of the hundreds of starts I've already done with it

If it keeps happening once I am above 1000 miles I'll take it in for sure

i've had one time where it didn't start right away but did the 2nd time...other than that it starts a little rough but runs fine right after.

YES! I have had this problem. I had to crank it at least 3 times once until it started up! What the hell is going on?! This is a new car with 100 miles on it and I have to crank it 3 times to get it started! The last time it did it was two days ago, where I had to crank it twice to get it started.... Not happy....

I have had my Lancer for a week now and no issues at all. Do you have the Fast Key system. Might be an issues with the car seeing the fob.

I haven't had any starting problems however I do not have the fast key. I do however have a message about my tire pressure system malfunctioning. Had it since i drove it home.

damn should have knocked on wood! it happened to me today! but started up after the second try. weird. maybe it was because i was in a hurry and started my car as soon as i pop in the key. usually i wait a couple of second before starting the engine.
