Spedo/Tach Lights went out.

I've had my car for just over a month now and last night the spedo/tach/gauges/dash wouldn't light up.

Earlier in the day my drunk friend steped on one of my neon tubes mounted at the base of the front passanger seat and cracked it. I tried turning on the power to the neons to see if it would still light up. All the others did but the cracked on didn't. The cigarette lighter still works too.

Also the same day I took my car in to the place I got my alarm installed because my LED's were flashing out of sync and it looked like a freakin night club inside my car. So he had to mess around in that area around the A Pillars.

Would either have these events lead to a blown fuse or anything that could have effected my lights in my dash? or does this just sound like a freak occurence?

The turn signals still blink on the dash, but thats about it. Any ideas on what could have happend???

Thanks for any help.

make sure the dimmer roller isnt rolled all the way down. it is to the left and down of the steering wheel.

Your friend gave you a gift in disguise by stepping on your neons. You should thank him!

geez, I checked the fuse, its a-ok. I'm guessing the retard install guy that was rewiring my LEDs un plugged it, or the bulb just burnt out... I can't imagine it being that though, the cars only a month old.

any other thoughts guys?

thanks.

cool at least you got it fixed. Usually if it was a fuse, your rear lights cut out too, at least this was from past experience

yea shes all good to go more or less. they didn't put some stuff back in properly like my apiller and my rubber seal but It hink I'll do that myself instead of risking it with them again. needless to say I'm not going back there again.

Thats wierd.... I'd say its just your dimmer wireing clip... maybe one of the wires is loose??? or maybe the actual dimmer switch is broken? I dunno, I'm no expert thats for sure.
