The dealer wants me to take my car in!

i took mine in for the same prob. they kept it over night told me i could have a rent car and they would pay came back not 1 but 2 days later and they told me it was my exhaust(didnt pay for rental car after all ... i was pissed) ....i took it to the guy who did my exhaust and he told be everything is tight and nothing is rubbing he said is was my suspension... it scrapes and clinks and creaks .. all sorts of noises.... what dealer did u go to? im in the middle of a fight with my dealer bc they still think its the exhaust....

I get an occasional click when going in reverse. I have noticed most of the time it's when I turn the wheel. That maybe because every time I'm backing out I'm turning the wheel, who knows. But, it still happens. My situation is much like Bladed said, it sounds like it's coming from the back.

One of my buddies had a 08 GTS and while he was taking a left turn the right rear tire folded under the car and he went up on the curb.After a month or so Mitsu decided to give him another exact 08 GTS so maybe there really is a problem with the rear suspension on some of these cars.Mitsu wouldnt due that unless they knew they messed up and didnt want to get sued, they dont even want to do warranty work when its needed.

He had a rental for a while then they switched the car out with an exact model.His car was pretty messed up but no sure if it was totaled it or not,Either way he got a new car after all the fuss.

When I first got my car, I remember the click would occur and it almost sounded like metal clanking when i started in 1st gear, when I go into reverse, however , I do not hear that clicking sound.. at 15,900 miles or so, the clicking metal banging sound just sounds like something clicking once you start rolling forwards.. I wonder what it is..
The scraping in my opinion would be the springs rubbing against the cover of the tire inset, it happened to my friends lancer as well, sent it into Mitsubishi and got rid of the problem. I find it abit ironic though that Mitsubishi would have sent that to your dealership, but could be coincidence.

09 lancer here. I dont get any clicks in revers. My suspension definitely squeeks and I get a strange rubbing noice every once in a while when i have the wheels turned and i start from a stop. I cant duplicate it every time though so i dont know what it is.
