Does your Lancer bounce?
A few mornings a week when I start my car, I let it run for a few minutes and as I am sitting there, it bounces.. I can't explain it any better than that, the car bounces then stops after like 3-4 minutes.. any idea what the cause of that is?

I've noticed also
The freaking car does start to bounce... When you first start it in the morning and turn the key, the revs shoot up and the car revs at about or between 2 and 3. I guess the car bounces because of the RPms. When you rev your car, the engine tends to shift due to the torque. So the bouncin' action is no biggy. it's normal. also, what type of shocks do you have, factory or after?... tha can also mean something. But the bouncing action is just the car revving, rev the car at about 3000rpm's for about 4 mins, and your car is ready to go.

like i said before people.... it's the engine modifications. The ECU is adjusting the engines condition, and it finds the most effecient way for the engine to warm up and adjust to climate. It seems to act like this now, in nice wel soso weather. Let's see how much the car bounces in the winter, when i ttakes longer for the engine to warm up... he he
but it's all good. nothing to worry about. it's normal standard adjusting conditions from the engine to ECU..either way... it's NORMAL.

Damn it, people. Learn how to type proper English.
Sounds to me like it's a normal occurance. Just let it warm up first. No more than a minute though. If it "bounces" for more than 45 seconds or so, take it back to the dealership.
