Downpipe problem

I have kamikaze headers and downpipe, unfortunately, now my downpipe is hitting something, and when I hit about 4500 to 6000 RPMs there is a buzzing noise, anyone know how I can fix this nuisance, can I put something in between the downpipe and whatever it's hitting, because it gets really annoying when I'm under a bridge, and I floor it cuz I like how it sounds (I'm a nerd, lol) and then that comes in, make me feel like I have a honda with a crappy exhaust, or it sounds like a lawn mower beating the honda

You could just take a hammer to the downpipe and dent it slightly so it's not hitting anymore. Alternatively you could get hardened motor mounts so it's not bouncing around.

dam, I was afraid someone would say motor mounts, I need to get new ones I think, my engine moves like an infant in those bouncy things. I was afraid to dent the downpipe though, for some reason it was a b*tch to screw the downpipe to the headers, I had to buy new screws for it, because whoever I bought it from didn't see the three holes, and sent two, lol. No problems, they were all replaced by heat resistant screws, I still gotta change the mount though

Easy answer - get a spacer.

Unbolt the spot where the header meets the downpipe. Trace that flange. Take it to a machine shop and get them to make you a small spacer (maybe an inch thick). That will lower the DP away from the rest of the car.

Or, if you want to try it a little ghetto, you can use a half-dozen gaskets. But I doubt how well that would hold up.

I have enough rouble keeping one gasket intact. LMAO. Friggin lancer.

Good luck this is exacltythe reason i did not buy the kamikaze setup.

Good luck i would saytake of he pipe and hammer it down so it wont hit.

Also the motor mounts will help somewhat.

I have the nsc engine dampner and my engine does not move AT ALL. lol

Another thing I wanted to mention, is that this only happens when my car is in motion, never when I am just revving my super ultra mega powerful beast.
