trunk rattle w/ GTS sun n sound

I've noticed if when you're pumpin' the tunes at about 16 and above on the stereo and step out of the car there is this nasty rattling noise. Anyone else notice this?

It's not the license plate, it's coming from inside...

Someone suggested using spray foam to fix it.. Any other suggestions?

Ugh I know, I hate that noise.

It could be spare tire related, such as the jack or tools, but I havn't looked.

I found out what it is!

If you look underneath the car behind the the drivers side rear tire there is this oval canister part that is bolted on one side to another part. It's rattling because only 1 side is bolted down and is vibrating.

Fix: I just put a piece of sponge between the two parts to prevent the rattle

Without looking, I'm going to guess that it's a carbon canister.

I fetched myself a stick to brance the plastic frame to the trunk wall where the lights are.

If you notice if you push down on the sub enslosure it stops vibrating, the stick did a good job.

GOOD BOY

i would have thought it would have been the fabric mold on the inside of the trunk lid which is a little loose, not very well secured. I was going to put some dynamat inside that between the truck and the molding.

Anyways if you did fix it by doing that then great. I am too lazy to car what the outside sounds like although that rattle is stupid and annoying from the outside...makes it look like you have a cheap system/crappy install.

What kind of "Stick?" I'm noticing the Sub being a major cause of the problem with it not being bolted too securely.

mine has a horrible rattle from the outside with my aftermarket sub and im really hoping its just that canister but i know its more then that. i think its the heat shield above the exhaust and also the rear deck part behind the backseat rattles.
i think i will be sadly removing my sub soon tho for a rear strut bar so i can shave back off the 100 pounds it weighs and make my car handle nicer.
