lug nut studs

i didnt really know where to put this but i have a 99 mirage it had blow shocks an i drove it around a bit then i put on new shocks an springs. but right after i got them put on i was going to drive it to work then get it alighned (how ever u spell it) but as soon as i got to work i looked at my front driver side wheel the lugs nut studs had been striped an totaly worn down and one of em broke off and my rim it seem the studs ate away at the holes that the studs go in to so i had to throw away the rim. an buy new ones i was jus wonderin wut could of been the problem there? could it be the alighment (how ever u spell it).
and also how do u take out the studs i got my rotor off an my brake pads jus when i got to the studs i had no idea how to take em off but to hammer them is that ok to do? or is that how u do it.

Well, a dumb *** shop that was doing some brake work on my old car tightened down the lug nuts so tight I, nor 3 different shops I went to could take them off. Took it back to them to get the nuts off and they ended up breaking a stud. They paid for that one, but on my long ride home from college 2 or the 4 studs ended up breaking mid-trip. F them!
