Yesterday, i was coming to my car and i noticed there was a little liquid coming from under the car. I've never seen it before and i touched the liquid and smelled it. It was clear and didnt smell like anything so i'm assuming its water and not oil or coolant.

Anyways, i found the source of hte leak and its dripping from a spout next to the steering column under the hood. Does anyone know what that spout is or is having the same problem? Help please.

Could be condensation from the air conditioning if you had it running.

 

yeah I would sure hope that is what it is. if it is a spout then I'm assuming it is supposed to do that but if its just dripping from some place random that can't be good.

 

Yeah, the first time I saw my Lancer do that I kinda freaked out too...but it's probably just the usual A/C drip.

 

Every car has a tube connected to the ac condenser as far as I know. If you were running the AC it is just from that and nothing to worry about. Mine leaves a decent size puddle after I've had mine on for a while.

 

yup its just the a/c. Anything that tastes sweet or is just oily, then start to check into it.
