Definitely sure about the VW, not so certain on the Fords. The VW would chirp and say "Add Washer Fluid" or something like that.

Well my 03 Tribute would tell me when I was getting low and so did my 00 Protege. I guess it's a Mazda thing.

well... i drove a madza 3 b4 and it has such a warning

Well ****.. my Audi doesn't warn me of low fluids... are you sure? I have never in my life owned nor driven a car that has a warning of low fluids... and that includes my dad who has a bigger wallet than me

I haven't seen the 08 nozzle, if it's the flat spray, you can't adjust it. If it's the classic two streamers, yes you can just use a paperclip and re-adjust them.

As for the leakage... it does sound like some kind of urinary problem.. haha My Evo doesn't do it. Although in the summer heat, the water from the nozzles tend to "stain" my hood. Takes some good wiping and waxing next car wash to get it to disappear.

My last car (92 Nissan 240SX) warned me, and my car before that (82 Pontiac 6000 STE) warned me... Not always a luxury feature
