How do you get Movies to play while driving?
I just got my car today a GTS O8 built 09 17 07. Does anyone know a way to play movies while driving? I have 2 Nephews. I got the NAV to play movies while driving to keep them occupied. I put transformers in, started to drive and it stopped, so I stopped put the car in park and it started playing???
hmmmm prob another mitsubishi safety feature

I was looking at eBay and found this; some one is listing a how to do video in motion. Take a look at it. Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/2008-Mitsubishi-...QQcmdZViewItem
I know on some old aftermarket navigation systems, you could bypass the safety feature by unplugging one of the wires in the back. I dont know how advanced the mitsub navi system is, but its worth a look.
The navigation system DVD feature is suspossed to cut out after you are traveling faster than 10 MPH.

I've been searching. In after market NAV's there is a way. It has to do with a wire that gets hooked up to the ignition. You find that wire disconnect from ignition and hook it to another wire??? Just something I found. Thank you guys again!!!
There's an s-video jack in the back of the stock head unit, if you got the Nav unit. I don't know for sure, but I'm willing to bet that the stock head unit will play the movies through that jack while in motion. Just make sure it's not in view of the driver while playing movies, if you want to avoid being hassled by the police.
Ok i just hooked all new stuff up in my car and called bout this. There is a ground that should be ran to your parking brake. You just need to run that ground to somwhere else in the Vehicle. Mine works fine now and i hope thats all you have to do too.
Will do more research and find out. I have a friend thats an auto electrics guy. He might be able to find out!

granted that the MMCS gets a lot of its signals from the ETACS-ECU, I highly doubt getting the video to play while driving could be as easy as grounding the parking brake sensor. FYI, the GPS signal, secondary pulley sensor, and the transmission sensor are just some of the signals that look like they are being fed into the equation. So I'd say its gonna be some code junkey that could figure out
proprietary code and bypass that.
But hey, if you find a quick and easy fix that doesn't involve putting a switch on all those signals, post a DIY.
Good luck

There is a green and pink wire that sends an oscilating signal (speeds up and you speed up) that needs to be disconnect (run through a toggle) and the center conducter on the GPS wire needs to be disconnected (toggle) in order for this to work. I've done it but I have the right tools. I used extron BNC's on the mini-coax to disconnect it. this could be a very expensive mod if you mess it up.
i use to have a jennsin 7" flip out it would do the samething i took it to the local audio place mine was nw audio but im in missouri so i doubt you are call around they did mine for 150 bucks lol.. took like 10 minutes i was like wtf i could have done it just didnt know how ..
