It is water.
Its probably condensation from your ac i get it all the time. It drips behind the motor because it condenses on the cold fins of the evaporator before the air goes into the cab. there is a plate to catch it but when you move the car it sloshes over the sides. also if you raise the front of the car to do your oil it will drop anout a half a cup of water on the ground.
no worries.

It can either be the AC as mentioned above or the defroster. We noticed that my car driped water (condensation) after running the defroster in the morning. In both cases, the water drips just behind the engine. I wiped it with my finger to make sure, and it was definitely water in my case. Just to be safe, check your fluid levels, but you're probably fine.

When you run the defroster it turns on the a/c.

I actually did not know that. Makes sense now that you say that, but I never thought of it

Oh I'm an Evom junky fo sho, I just spend waaaaay too much time in OT (about a 5:1 ratio of off topic to on topic posts )

Edit: I noticed the thread is in the Evo section. I don't visit there often, having an OZ, although as you just pointed out, there is useful info in there too. Great, now I have to take another hour of sleep off my daily routine to read more of the forums

Because when you rum air over the cool evaporator fins it dries the air which defogs the windows way better than just blowing air on them. In my old pickup when it rains i have to have the heat on defrost full blast to just keep the windshield clear but all my other windows are foggy. In the oz they stay clear right to the back because of the driing effect of the ac.
bonus is the less humid it is in your car the longer everything will last: water is bad.
