Swirl Marks in paint
I don't think I have ever asked this question on here before. Has anyone had their Lancer repainted for swirl marks from the factory? I know I have spoken to the Service Manager at my dealership several times and he has told me that it is a known problem in the dark colors(red, blue, black) but that they will not repaint under warranty.

hahaha, if that was the case, i wouldn’t be as upset!
…but i guess i shouldn’t say it looks like garbage…i just think they could have put a little more money into the finishing touches of the car, epically the one that covers the whole exterior! lol

I wonder if anyone has had theirs repainted professionally?
I heard a rumor that someone had theirs repainted at Scottsdale Mark Mitsubishi and it came out good, No idea what that would run price wise though.

They said its part of the coat, you can wax or polish it all you like but once the wax works its way out of the swirls they show up again plain as day. When I took delivery of my vehicle it was waxed so the swirls were filled in, after a while when the wax wore off you could see them again.

I have the same problem with my car...I've brought it up to the dealership and head office aatention and they've done nothing but claim its because of driving wear and tear.
complete bull imo but thats what you get when you buy a mitsubishi.
