Exclamation New Exhaust Problem

Hey yall,

I just put the Tsudo N1 Axleback Exhaust on my 09 GTS and right infront of the Rear Axle where the New exhaust attaches it is slightly rubbing against the axle (frame). is there anything I can put inbetween the Frame and the exhaust to keep it from rattleing?

Thanks.

I don't know but I'm wondering how your liking the exhaust. I'm thinking about getting that one.

I love it. its pretty simple to put on, the stock one was a b*&^h to get off. but it took me about 20 minutes total. It sounds great and has a nice deep tone. good for the cvt as well.

I just folded alot of alum. foil in a square and tucked it inbetween the frame and exhaust. works good too.

u can possibly use a piece of tire. its tick and wont burn much that far back on the exhaust.

I've used intercooler hose connectors, no problems for me. Al foil is a good idea too.

i don't suggest tire or any rubber. The exhaust does get hot, even back there. Silicon would be ok (IE intercooler piping) I would recommend finding why its rubbing. The hangers on the muffler could have been slightly bent during shipping.

it seems to be fine. it hangs fine but sometimes if im stopped at a light or something it will rattle a little bit and make the noise. the stock exhaust hangers hold it up a little up higher than it should. im working on a fix, im going to autozone and orileys to look around after formation. ill let yall know.

i kept the al. foil on there. it molded perfectly because of the heat. then I took the al foil exhaust repair tape (2 bucks at o'rileys) and taped the al. foil in place. works great!

but its not the right fix. Don't backyard mechanic your new car, make it right. Unless you just don't care. I bet the hanger is a bit bent. Get a friend with some mechanical knowledge and I am sure he could figure out your problem within 10 mins.
