SRS light goes on and off randomly
SRS light goes on and off randomly
So for several months now my SRS light has been turning on and off while I'm driving at seemingly random intervals, I have tried to make some sense out of the timing but it does not seem to be directly correlated to anything that I can see.
Has anyone else had this problem with their SRS light?
To me it seems like there might be something loose and it keeps getting jarred in and out of place as I drive but I don't know for sure.
I've tried reading the OBD-II codes with a scanner but I am not sure that it was CAN enabled because it did not show any errors.
Thanks in advance.

You wont be able to pull any srs codes with a normal scanner. You need to have a different scanner. Our shop has one and it costed $2000!!! If it is blinking it could be a loose plug like you said. Be safe about it and disconnect your battery before you go ripping apart your car..
There is a yellow cord under each front seat, make sure those are plugged in first. After that, take out your center console (where the shifter is) and you will see a metal box (it is your airbag module) with yellow plugs and make sure those are also plugged in correctly. If that doesn't take care of it, I would recommend getting it diagnosed at a shop. And remember to disconnect your battery.
Srs light blinking randomly usually is caused by movement of the wires. If you tug to hard on one of them it will set off the light... If you did any type of wiring recently then check around there first for somthing and akso check all the connections.
