SRS Light

Ok, so once the SRS light is triggered on. How do you get it to go away?

My fuses are good, and the airbags have not deployed. Not sure what happened, other than the light came on one day. I did adjust my clutch pedal height, is it possible I knocked something?

My horn does work.

Also, while the light is on, it either sometimes turns off, or it blinks, not sure which it is. Seems to be random, however it is solid on, most of the time

I am going to try to disconnect the battery and leave it unconnected for the night, hopefully it clears and drains the capacitors in the SRS system...

this is on my 03 ES

I did a search on the SRS light, and didn't really find anything I thought pertained to my situation

You may have to take it to the dealer, most scanners can not communicate with the srs ECU

Sadly, I know.... hoping the battery reset will clear it. But we will see.... haven't had a chance to do it yet

Srs codes are hard codes and will not reset if fault is still present. You cant clear it until repairs are complete. What code you got? Post code.

I have no idea what code it is. The srs light on the dash is on. The airbag hasn't deployed, and there are no other symptoms.

I may try srs scanner, but am looking into that right now, I think I have seen some that are around $60

I don't have the time time, or $ to deal with the stealership

Quoted for truth

From what I've seen on most cars/trucks, it's usually the sensor that's bad or the connection. But like posted above... Have it checked out first before throwing parts at it. Not sure how much a sensor for that car goes for.

Not sure if yours is covered with a recall but a month ago I brought my 2006 Es and since getting it back I have not had the light and over 800 miles.
