Hello!

Every time I start up my 2003 Lancer OZ rally, my cruise control lights up on my dash. I can turn it off, however it never used to do that.

Any ideas what the problem is and (constructively) how to fix it?

Is it the light that just turns on or is the whole system turning on? Did you try leaving it on, getting on the highway and hitting the set button? Might just be a light problem or a cruise control system problem.

 

Is your cruise control functioning properly? Set, resume, cancel, on/off working as they should be while you are driving?

 

I'll test it again tonight. as far as i know it works fine. I was able to turn it off while driving

 

car turns on, cuise control is on. I get up to speed and i can set,coast,accelerate,cancel and turn on/off. Everything works except its on when the car starts

 

a little off topic, but, what could make the cruise control suddenly stop working?

 

no clue for the OT question. The cruise control seemed to be off when i started up my car just now.... I'll watch it over the next few days.

Has anyone else had this issue or heard of it?

 

Do you happen to use cruise at all? The only time the light stays on after a shut off and start up for me is if I had cruise on and i dident shut it off before I shut the car off.

I wouldent really worry about it if its working to factory spec.
