Fan Running Continously

My problem lately is that my radiator fan is running continuously. from the moment i turn my key, to about 5 to 8 seconds after i remove the key. There is a brand new controller and fan assembly in there. i think it might be the relay but im not sure the part number or if the relay im thinking is exactly the right one.

Anyone on here have any hints? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,

It is your fan relay. My lancer does the exact thing. I kinda don't have a problem with it.

There are two things that i can toss out there. Number one - your fan relay could be stuck. If its not that, check your temp sensor. There are two temp sensorson the upper drivers side of the motor next to the air filter box. One of them is a one wire sensor towards the front of the motor, if this one is unplugged you will notice your temp gauge in the cluster drop, however it does not trigger the fans. The second sensor is at the same level but closer to the firewall and has 2 wores going to it. This sensor will trigger the fans. I only know this b/c i was given an aftermarket temp gauge without a sender and i hooked it into the factory sensor to see what would happen. As soon as i hooked it into the sensor with 2 wires, it kicked the fans on immediatly. This probably would be a good thing to check

i'll look into it. im leaning more towards a bad relay. anyone have a part number on that by chance mine is not able to be read. also a part number on the ac compressor relay if neone has that.
