Well i was tighting my tail lights from the back and when I was putting the trunk back together behind the right taillight I happened to look at the ground and there was this round black rubber piece. I dont kno if it fell from the trunk on the ground or if it wasnt from my car. I have no idea wut it would be for. Here are some pics of it. if anyone knows where it go let me kno.

It looks like a seal, or a grommet of some kind. It might be a mitsu part (in fact, I think it has a part number stamped on it).

Your best best is to take the trunk apart again, to the point you did the other day, and look around for something out of place.

 

ya.. thing is i didnt even take nuttin apart really i just pealed back the lining on the trunk to get behind the tail light..idk wut it could be

 

It could be a drain hole plug from the underside of the trunk. If that's the case, it could have caught the lining when you pulled it back.

 

so wheres it go? lol

 

maybe i'm wrong, but theres a seal that holds the carpet to the trunk that looks like that.

 

ima go look again does anyoe know exactly where it goes or somewhere near where it goes? it was on the right side of the trunk i was working on.

 

Well i found where it goes and put it back.. lol i took the other side apart and looked for the same peice.. i was just feeling around like deep within that compartment and i poped something out of place.. lol another one of these rubber peices fell out.. so i put a towel in the spot then went under the car and found where it goes.. if you look right under the bumper there is these little drain rubber tube things.. right before it are spots for these stopper things. i dont kno wut its for but glad i found the spot it goes and put it back.
