intake problems
disconnect the negative and then reconnect it about 10 mins later and start your car. leave the car idle for nothin less then 15 mins. then your car should be set. , and a little off subject, but i do this all the time and about 3 or 6 days later the check engine lite goes on. i dont know if its becaus the intake filter is dirty or maybe its not even the intake?

yeah if it was just the intake, the check engine light should not have went on. If you reset it and it comes back on again soon, check to make sure you didn't damage the MAS or leave something (vacuum hose or wire) disconnected from the install.
nope everything is connected right, no hoses missing, the breather tube is connected. i do have a magnaflow catback. but everytime i restart the system, the light is off then 4 days later it goes on, but my driving is still the same, i feel no problems
you should get the cel read at a dealer. It could be a problem not related to your intake. Are your cats still there? That's the only other thing I can think of that would set the cel off.

The second cat has an o2 sensor in it. If you want to get rid of that cat, get the RRM test pipe, as it has a threaded hole for the sensor.
Otherwise, you need to get the old sensor welded into the new cat replacement. You're probably running very rich. It will certainly throw a CEL without the o2 sensor.
