Gauge lights out and dashboard

I was driving around the lancer and I noticed the lighting for the speedo/tach/LCD was dimming. I ignored it for a while and one day I got in the car and they were totally out. Not only that but I also noticed the ashtray, lighter, auto tranny gear indicator, temp, fan, and air flow lights were also out. So I went with Lightrikz kit, and none of the bulbs work. I checked the fuses the manual said had to do with lights and all seem to be functioning. I went to AutoZone and bought a replacement bulb for the LCD backlight and that also didn't light up.
Anyone have any ideas or advice, I plan on moving soon to New Mexico and it be sure nice to be able to see how fast I'm going at night on my way there.

I ordered a new rheostat (in cabin dimmer switch), I heard if that goes out that it effects all the lights that are dimmed by it. Hopefully this fixes the problem and if it does hopefully it can help others.

Did it turn out to be the rheostat?
