1) CEL from k&n Intake, 2) OBD2 scanner doesnt work!!

Ok, so not only did I get a SES from my k&n typhoon intake system, (I believe), but my obd2 port no longer works?!
I plug in the code reader, turn the car on, and nothing....i plug it into a different vehicle, and it works perfectly
I tried this with 2 scanners, and all the cables are still there and connected
So if its not the intake system, im screwed, and if it is the intake system, i have no way to find out and figure it out >_<

Are you sure you have a scanner that supports imports? What make of car did you test it on that works?

Make sure you have ground on pins 4 and 5 on your diag connector, also check fuse #5 (10A), which goes to pin 16 (constant 12V) pin 6 and 14 should be your data link ( a varying 3-5V digital signal.) If you measure from pin 6-14 on voltage with a DMM you should get the above stated voltage. Either pin 6 or 14 to ground, voltage will be 0-3V and the other 3-4.5 V. If you have all of the above, it is your code reader.

no worries, here to help, hope you get the codes resolved, K&N should provide you with some assistance on this. I am sure both codes are related to the intake as you most likely got the codes at the same time you installed it. Good luck.

Code is for fuel system too lean. First, have you disconnected your battery for 15 mins plus to reset the learned data in the EECU? Try that. If not, the other code you previously had was for voltage high on air intake temp. Which is the same sensor as mass flow. Did you bump it or drop the sensor? They are sensitive.

Here is a list of the most likely causes of this, MAF sensor failed, Inj failed, Incorrect fuel pressure, Air being drawn in from gaps, loose seals, ect. Eng coolant temp sensor failed, Intake air temp sensor failed, Barometric press sensor failed, MAP sensor failed, Exhaust leak, bad fuel, Wiring, ECM.

I would check your hose clamps ect. You need mut 3 program or some scope (like snap on) to measure the signals being put out by the MAF sensor, then you can properly diag.

Check those clamps, and disconnect the batter for 15 mins plus... see what happens

Also, for checking the intake temp sensor, it pins 1-4 on the maf sensor. Pin 1 being your 5V supply and pin 4 ground. Resistance across the MAF pin 1-4 should be .31-17 K ohms. Also turn the key on and check pin 1 of the harness to engine block ground and you should have 4.5-4.9 V

Thats all I can help you with.

the K&N shouldn't throw a CEL.... have you disconnect the battery while you install the intake....?? you may try to disconnect the battery and wait for few minutes... the ECU will adjust to the new air flow information...^^

So i was 1 day away from ordering a INJEN CAI, and my CEL just turns off..by itself...
Did my car just need time to get used to the intake? Or do you think it will come back on?
I checked for air leaks all over, using the MAF Cleaner around all possible opening, and my rpms stayed the same, and no MAF cleaner seemed to get inside the intake
