dealership time man, just dont let them mess with you, try resetting your ECU, i hope you know how, and then when you put it back on, run through all your gears redlining it, hehe, not a bad why to reset your ecu if you like driving fast

as for a speed limiter, i dont think it exists at all, but i do believe there may be a rev limiter, but not speed, if you got enough road and power (turbo) that thing will pull to 120 like a hot knife through butter, and keep pulling

so u say that i have to go to the dealer because of the 2000 mile check up..or cuz it is a mess up? yeah i do know how to reset it, disconect the bat, neg first let it sit for about 10 seconds then connect back neg. start engine let it sit for 10 minutes then turn of engine sit for a min, then start engine again and then redline to the nearest highway, wich is like 1.30 minutes from my house

yea try that, if its still messed up then ask the dealer to check it out, if you havent modified anything, than you shouldnt have to pay for anything to get fixed

When you say your RPM's drop from 5000 to 3000 your car is just upshifting. If you keep it punched it won't untill it gets close to red. If it still shifts, put it in 3 and don't pop it to drive until you hit the rev limiter (6250). You will know when you hit it. Other than that you have an adaptive computer, your shift points will actually adjust to how you have been driving. Like if an old lady is driving it its gonna shift at like 3000 rpms. If you drive it hard again for a little while it will go back to normal. And no there is not a top speed limiter, just a rev limiter. So if you have enough road or power you can go until you hit the fuel cut at 6250 RPM.

I think that might be what is wrong with mine, sounds like the same problem I am having. The person I bought it from never drove it fast...drove it like a normal car, and since I've gotten it...I havn't been driving it that way. So resetting the ECU will help fix this?

i do have an adaptive comp, and i drive crazy all the time..so why would it govern my speed then? if its addaptive it should be at crazy driver and not at grandma driving status feel me? till tomorow i will reset the ecu...and hope its that or i can do it later today like 11.30 pm to take it out on the highway at 12.00 am
