I recently tried to unlock my car with the key remote only to find that it had stopped working. I figured it must be a battery issue with the key, so I replaced the battery in the key, but still nothing. I tried the other key, same problem. I took the car to the dealership and the guy said since I am out of warranty, there is a $95 diagnostic fee to find out what happened, which is BS. He did however check to see if the key was giving out a signal, which it was. So that leaves the problem somewhere inside the car, right? Has anyone else had this problem? Please help because I hate having to manually lock my car every time I park it.

BTW my car is an 08 GTS MT

 

i had the same problem a while ago. its more probable the keys and not the car. interesting that both your keys dont work though. just because your keys send out a signal doesnt mean its the right signal for the car to react and open the doors.

 

I had the same problem, they tried reprogramming the KOS ecu and nothing....they ended up replacing the ECU....it was still warranty so I can't tell you how much it is..
