Hey so I'm trying to replace this burned up switch but I cant find it anywhere online, Friend said it's called the dim switch or interior light controller. anyone know what this part is called.

I believe Mitsu calls it a "Rheostat".
You can call a dealer and get a part number or you can buy one from http://www.mitsubishiparts.net/ for like $50.

As you can see in my attachment, I've outlined the part for you.
