Did the "consent form" say anything about changing coverage? Also, did you make sure Geico is aware of the lein on the car from the bank who has your loan? I'm fairly confident that any bank requires full coverage on the car to protect their investment. If Geico changed your coverage, that would be a violation of the lein agreement. Good luck with your lawsuit...insurance companies employ armies of lawyers, though I'm definitely on your side with this one.

@ Dragg1e...

Pretty sure you're thread highjacking, but that seems like a decent bumper.

Lol it's allright... I found out I dont need a new bumper. There's this guy down at the body shop that can fix this with one hand tied around his back. haha
Now all I need is the headlight. I thinking buy a used OEM one or go big like the Lancer Halo Projector Headlights w/ Blue Projector Glow

Thinkinggg...........

True if they removed your collision the lien holder should of said something about it. They never contacted you to say WTF happened to the collision? The bank that is.

Unless you have a bucket of cash to feed the hungry lawyers in geico and your own lawyer, i would suggest consulting with them before you try to sue them. Make sure you know whats going on, just like evo and lost viking pointed out, it should be under full coverage. Suing a giganto company like geico wont do you any good. They have so much money their stupid 007 English accent james bond guy commercial never stops running. This happens a lot, and companies like them are ready for any kind of lawsuits. Unless its really an obvious mistake on their behalf, you will most likely lose. Dont get me wrong, im on your side, but resulting in a lawsuit is never a good idea, waste of money, time, and you can lose which sucks.

Glad to see ur alright. But an insurance cannot drop you especially when you have a lien hold on the car. They're required to have full coverage on the car being that you dont own the car yet still making payments.

I would further contact them on this, and tell them to provide proof that you agreed to drop it to liability. And let them know about there being a lien on the car, and that you never would have agreed to drop down to liability.
