Evo 10 crash at Beaverun

Not sure if this was posted here. My favorite corner at Beaverun. I said after driving my new Evo 8 there that if I crashed in that turn they would be picking up peices of me for weeks. I caged my car not long after. This was a hard hit I am not sure how the driver is doing.

Ouch, I hadnt heard about this. That turn has taken out many of cars. Its a turn i always tell drivers to watch out for. Although, that Obviously was out of his control. He really had bad luck at that track. His car caught fire the year before.

Ps. NARRA is running breaverun/PIRC this coming season. It should be fun.

From the description: "#58 T2 Evo X has a left front tire go down, from a 2" gash in the contact patch, causing a high speed collision with the outer wall which results in multiple rollovers."

That's absolutely brutal... wasn't expecting that hard of an impact.

I believe he has been on a few times.

He would have been around 120-125mph in that turn.. That is a cage that did its job.

Why does everybody unbelt and get out immediately after the wrecks? I mean the cars are still whizzing by him at race speed within feet...

Regardless that looked rather painful!

Personally, I don't want to be sitting a bowl of ignited fuel if it occurs.
After the accident you really cant judge it from inside it will or not blow.

1) Human Nature.. we flee from whatever danger we feel present.. No matter what physical condition you are in.
There has been accounts of people trying to walk on broken feet ,etc.

2) Potential Fire.

I could go on.. to be honest most of the time is involuntary.

G*d damn CJ, hella of a hit, glad he's ok. Yes he was on here often back when he had his T2 Evo 9. Him and Marty used to race together at the Runoffs, I think in 09 the were both regional champs. Since he sold his 9 I haven't heard anything "good" from his X. According to the rules they "suggest" you stay in the car until a corner worker clears you, unless a fire danger is present. Personally it would depend on where on the track the car stopped, if I'm on the pavement or in-line and there's no fire, i ain't movin. You guys saw the SE NASA regional director Jim's crash at Nats? That's the exception.
