It's the actual catalytic convertor. That's what bank 1 is. Bank 2 is the second cat after the downpipe. It seems the actual cat is bad not the sensor. I had the same issue. Never fixed it. Doesnt affect performance at all. The fix. Buy another cat convertor and clear the code after you replace it. Roadracemotorsports used to sell the oem cat and if that fails there is always ebay. Just give them a call or pm Rock and see if they still have any for sale.

I will say this much to you "barbiebxtch", if you ask a question on here and don't like the replies then let it go. If you choose to reply to what someone else has said then you really need to do it appropreately not the way you did! If you do then a MOD/ADMIN will make it worse on you then you may like it. If you dont care at all then we will say BYE BYE to you. Just trying to help you out.

Whoa heated thread already. Here is the deal, bank stands for what side of the motor its on so v6 v8 etc will have bank 1 (whichever side has #1 cylinder) and bank 2(opposite side). Since we have an inline 4 bank 1 is all we have. Camshaft gave you all the info you need. Unless your real concerned with the extra emissions you may be venting (In reality nothing even remotely significant) I also suggest doing the spark plug antifouler trick shown in this thread here

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...cel-light.html

It will get rid of that annoying cel you have.

I also own a civic and my lancer and both have been great and dependable. I have had more issues with the mitsu since I began modding but thats to be expected. Every manufacturer has certain common issues. Just my .02 Good Luck and please dont take things so seriously on here.

Or you can always replace the exhaust manifold with a header and that way your exhaust will be able to breath better.
And then do the anti fouler.
