Bulky Metal Bar (Front End Underneath Bumper) Question
I noticed yesterday that in front was hanging this small and fat metal bar underneath the bumper. There are two of them in the car.
What are these things even for? It ended up falling off and now only one remains. Looks like it hanging from a plastic piece.
any one know??
thanks everyone!

bump!
they are directly to the right and to the left of the tow hook in the middle of the car (underneath the bumper cover)
almost look like a metallic rolling pin. About 5~6 inches long and pretty heavy. They look to be mounted on via a harness with two bolts.
Does anyone know what these are for? (Extra weight?)
I'll take a picture when I get the chance..
thanks everyone

They're crash absorbers for the bottom of the radiator support. They can technically be removed. Turbo Lancer owners remove them if they install an Evo FMIC, as the Evo FMIC brackets bolt right to the holes that these absorbers use. They can be removed for weight savings, if you like.
