My OZ Lancer Paint is Fading Green
Mine is chipping at the corners of the trunk right near the wing. I think it is hitting the fenders on both sides. maybe from body flex
.... had a harowing stop on the express-way from 65 mph that had me counter steering hard and slideing at near 90 degree angles...by all rights I should have tagged that exterra hard
hmm time for strut bars and a visit for some warrenty paint work

One of the clips from my side skirt was kept coming off but was fixed by the dealership. My paint was also starting to show signs of rust on it in the trunk. The dealership also took care of it. We have a 3 year warranty on it friends. TAKE ADVANTAGE. I was kind of pissed at first and asked them if they were selling "new lemons".
any one having problems on the side spoliers right under the front doors.. the paint is craking also if you have a white car u know what i mean.. when you open your doors you can see that the door seals leaves a yellow stain on the paint. if you have this problem and your dealer got it fix.. plz let me know.. i live 300 miles away from where i bought it.. and i dont want to take the trip and for them to tell me its my prob.. no under warranty

ok im sittin here readin in a good mood and all read about paint chips and say hmmmm i wonder walk out side and start kiking stuff its chiped under all four doors its off to the dealer today i will telly u how it comes out
I have the white Lancer and have lost the majority of the paint on the drivers side skirt. My passenger side one is also starting to come off along the top now. I had problems with my dealership they wanted to argue about it so I shoved my after market paint protection warranty "they provide this as an option at my dealership" in his weasel like face and were now negotiating a solution. I'm hoping to trick weasel boy into painting the whole damn car since the inside of the doors are chipping also. As for the paint loss on the rear bumper it seems to be my fault due to excess heat.
i got pearl white..and i got some yellow dots from the tree..its so hard to get it off..anyd good car wash would get rid of it?
or i should go do a 15 bucks car wash..and have them clean it for me...?

Here's my story, so far:
I went to wash my car today (by hand) and found that the front passenger side bumper had a few greenish swirls. I immediately contacted my dealer. "Hmmm... I've never heard of that"
"I have, I've read about several people having serious problems with their paint. Especially our yellows turning green"
"Hmmm... here's the number for our paint guy. Have him take a look and have him call me when you're done."
Paint guy (I'm summarizing): "Damn, that's weird. You know, I think they use a green primer/sealer on these yellow ones. And look at all of these rock chips. They're really painting these things thin. This is the third one I've seen with rock chips. And, if you look at it without the glare from the sun, it looks kinda green... it really should look more like the fender; a nice bright yellow. Well, all of these 'rockers' should be covered under your warranty. If I have to I'll make a Mitsu rep come out and take a look and show him how thin this stuff is. Even if he desn't see the green, or has some excuse, the rock chips should be enough. But, Mitsu's really good about warranty stuff, unlike several other car makers."
So we went inside, I filled out some paperwork and he comes back with one of his painters. "Yep" he says, "it looks thin and green".
Hopefully this will have a fairy tale ending and Mitsu will pay for a REAL paint job. Bad news is that it's supposed to take three or more WEEKS
to get my car back once we start the process. I guess it takes a while for a pro to paint a car.
XtremeEVO's right-
's giving us crap paint
with a WARRANTY. We need to use it.

yeah keep an eye out on the non body parts (bumper, side skirts, door handles, spoiler etc.) All of those parts have a slightly diff. colored paint. My skirts were all chipped and green and i had it all repainted at the dealership so keep an eye out for all of that stuff and have it done asap. game on

my dealer said there is a 7 yr. body warrenty????
