Install Regarding Fuse Box

Install Regarding Fuse Box
Hello,
I'm trying to hardwire a radar detector into the fuse box of the passenger compartment for a 2005 Lancer ES. It needs to be a 10A fuse tap, if my knowledge serves me right.
I've looked at the car manual, and the layout of the fuses do not match. Instead of where the "Radio Fuse" should be located, the site is empty and blocked off. The only 10A fuses I see are on the "Ignition Coil" and position 16, "Rear Fog Light" (but I don't have rear fog lights).
So, I have tried adding a circuit onto both sites, but my detector would not power on. I have also removed the fuse for the Rear Fog Light, testing to see if it was actually the Radio Fuse, but everything seemed to be powering on.
I'm confused. The layouts don't match, and it seems like the fuses don't do anything. Could you guys give some advices regarding this. Many thanks!

use bussman inline fuse adapters, plug right into the 10amp fuse location. Get your 12volt source from there.

thanks for the responses. i will go ahead and try it again with a bussman fuse adaptor once i get the direct wire, i was using a regular phone cord so that might be the reason. also, i think that diagram is incorrect. that's the same layout that the owner's manual have and it's not right because some of the slots aren't enable.
