hello all i have an issue with installing a 2009 lancer GTS floorshift assembly with "tapshift" i have removed old one and am installing GTS one, but when i press the brakes nothing happens? i dont hear that clicking engaging sound, when i press the brakes i cant move the shifter from park to Drive....if i push a little orange clip downwards i am able to move it to Drive but if i move it to the sport + - mode it will still stay in drive and sport mode dosent work?

so i have 2 issues

1. why is it that when i press the brakes nothing happens/engages for me to be able to move the shifter?

2. why dosent sport mode work?

Note: i have heard that the GTS 08+ floor shifter wont work for 2011 de/es lancers?????

Did you connect all the connections, if I remember correctly there should be 2 white plugs that you plug in and it will just shift over to sport mode.


Don't know if you've read through these or not. I assume that you're trying to do the change so you can get sport mode. Have you considered doing the RA paddle shift mod?
