did you run over something recently? where were you driving when you first noticed the noise? is it a metallic or plastic noise? maybe check any loose items inside the cabin or items left inside under the hood/wheel area. There was a noise driving me crazy in my car, the tire jack was loose in the trunk! If nothing looks or feels mechanically wrong, double check the small stuff first, like a crunched soda can.

I'm pretty sure I didn't run over anything. And the sound is clearly comeing from the front left wheel. Could the sound be happening because I need to change break pads? Because my friend said this happend to him before

If it sounds like a "helicopter" sound I would highly recommend checking your lug nuts. Seriously this is no joke. Jack the section that making the noise up and check your lugs with a torque wrench. Actually, scratch that, check ALL of your lugs. A friend of mine with a 350 NISMO had a similar issue, although I wouldn't describe it as a "helicopter sound". As he was driving down the road his passenger side rear came of doing about 65mph. Turns out a couple days earlier he had rotated his tires and didn't torque the lug nuts properly. Insurance refused to pay. All in all it was bad. This may not be the problem but I would check just to make sure.
Really it could be anything though.

Yes, do check the wheel nuts. The could also be a bad wheel bearing, but that usually makes more of a humming growling noise. If you have a cracked rotor with worn out brakes that could make a noise. Does it get worse with a brake application? I would inspect that wheel end closely, and if nothing stands out to you, then time to take it to a professional.
