Hey peepo... The Lancer is what? 2700 lbs.? Doesn't really matter what the approximate answer is because despite what that weight is, we wanna get rid of some of it right? That's what I thought..

The purpose of this thread is to post items on the car which you do not need that are either bolted on, or screwed on, or simply attached or possibly able to be detached with garage tools..

importlancer gave me these weight readings:

O-Z Rally (manual) 2,701 lbs.
O-Z Rally (auto) 2,745 lbs.
LS (auto only) 2,734 lbs.
ES (manual) 2646 lbs.
ES (auto) 2,690 lbs

If your an O-Z Rally you might wanna drop summa that weight. Well here's what was discovered thanks to Link286XT:

The two "barbell" pieces behind the front bumper, mounted on the frame. Removal : Socket wrench.

you can remove your spare, um if you take the drivers lower dash apart, you can remove that piece of metal there, its only to keep your knees from going in to the steering colum in an accident, and theres anoter piece of metal on the steering colum you can remove too. you can remove the passenger seat, glove box, um i cant think of anymore
