I've seen similar posts about this but havent seen what im looking for. My Lancer ES is making a very loud noise while im driving it, it sounds like when the power steering pump is malfunctioning, but its not, the sound gets louder when i accelerate it, dont tell me to take it to the warranty because they told me that i wouldnt apply because i didnt make the "oil transmission change" at 30 k and 60 k miles that is scheduled on the car manual, i didnt have the car back then, it has 78 k now. Is it really a transmission problem or another thing??

 

any CEL's or slow down warnings? Can you be a little more detailed with the noises it's making? The cvt does whine and it tends to be more noticeable during cold days when the car hasn't had a chance to warm up.

 

Sorry but i dont know some abbreviations in english like CEL, all i can tell you is that im not getting any warnings, the car does his regular "system inspection" when i turn it on and doesnt tell me there's any problem, but when im driving it does this loud noise that's similar to when the car has the power steering pump malfunctioning, but its not the PS because it is working well and the sound is always on when im driving, people say its the transmission, but i want to know if it is true and how expensive can it be...

 

Don't you have local mechanics there? Just bring it to someone to check it, not necessary the dealer.
