Unhappy Engine ? Computer System ? i dont know

something is wrong with my A/T OZ
the problem happened after i changed my tail lights, everything works fine when the headlights and parking lights are off.
what's weird about it, is that when i turn either or both of parking lights and headlights on, and if i put it in the R position, the engine jumps so hard instead of quiet and smooth. while the headlights or/and parking lights are on, position D, 3, 2, and L are not working....

im wondering if any of u guys ever had such a problem?
by the way, im calling the roadside assistance to get my car towed to the dearler tomorrow

much appreciated

Sounds like you might have a ground off - that would be a good place to start... Funny things happen when you don't have good ground.

I mean when you changed something you may have a ground wire that is loose or no longer grounded to the body. If that's the case, you end up with an open circuit which can do some really goofy things to electrical systems... I'd take a look at the wires to make sure they're all connected properly.

Granted, I know very little about electrical systems, but maybe when you turn on the headlights, it sends electrical current to the taillights. If you have a lose ground wire, then this electrical current could be causing the problem. Hence, if the lights are off, then no problems.

Gonna move this to troubleshooting since you're pretty much asking for people to...well...troubleshoot.

with your light's off your not using as much power as when you have them on, now what could be happening is that with them on and not having the ground your surging the electrical system, and like blacksheep said weard **** happens with a slightly open circiut, also you could have a small short as well
