Poping sound when turning

My 02 lancer makes a poping sound when a take a sharp right hand or left hand turn. Does any know why ?

Check your ball joints, that's the cause most of the time. The other possibility is the splines on your halfshafts. If they're worn you'll get popping from making really sharp turns, but not from easy ones. The halfshafts actually pull out of the gear a bit when you make turns, that's why the cv boots work like an accordion. When you make a left turn the right halfshaft pulls out a bit and the left pushes in, and vice versa.

Ball joints possibly, and idk if yours is awd but maybe a cv joint. Im new to evos so i do not know much about the generations yet.

Or lower control arm... boot?
