Ok, so when I got my 03 Lancer ES, to unlock all the other doors from driver's door, on the outside, you would turn the key clockwise a second time, after unlocking the driver's door.

Recently, this second unlock of all the doors, doesn't work.

If I open the driver's door, and then use the switch inside, all the doors lock and unlock just fine

so is the part an actual electrical switch attached to the door lock cylinder or is it an assembly that has to be replaced as a whole big (read: expensive unit) ?

 

should be a switch that attaches to the lock cylinder similar to an ignition switch...
