The drivers side front door is grinding on my front fender. The fender is already damaged. I was able to bend the damaged fender and stop contact with the door. Now the passenger side is doing the same thing but not as bad. The fenders are secure, and appear lined up and spaced uniformily. I suspect that the door could be the problem but, most of the information I'm finding is hinge pin replacement or shims for the door binding up and not closing. Nothing on the door binding up and destroying the front fender. This little 2002 Lancer es used to look nice, now it's ugly with the fenders all bent up. What's up with this?

 

I have the same problem with my OZ, but that's also due to a damaged fender on the drivers side as well.

 

I give up.
