I have replaced the battery in the fob, thinking maybe it was just going dead. Didn't make a difference.

Issues:
Key works here and there. Sometimes it unlocks the doors and sometimes it doesn't.
Sometimes the car starts sometimes it doesn't. When it does its fine, I just get the warning.
When it doesn't the car will not start even with the emergency key.
Sometimes the car starts for 3 seconds then shuts off and will not start after that.

Is anyone able to help

 

It is possible (but kinda' rare) that the security chip inside the keyfob is failing.


Did you try using the other remote that came with the car (if you have one)?
