rrm rear swaybar

I had RRM rear swaybar installed about 1 month ago. about two weeks ago i started noticing a loud sqeeking noise when i go over bumps, somtimes even when i sit in the car! is this normal? other than the noise, the handles are great! does anyone know what the problem is? or should i take it back down to rrm? Do you think they'll charge me if I do?

You could try putting more lube (silicon grease I believe) in all of the bushings. But it could just be the suspension.

Remember you stiffened up your car but putting on the sway bar, so the car will hold more rigid. This could cause the squeaks as the load is being distributed differently (even when you get in and sit in your car). My car has quite a few squeaks in the suspension after putting on coilovers and plenty of bars.

edit: Do you come to SCLC meets? Not sure if your screenname is familiar or not.

Thats a warrinty issue...quite common with the us lancers...take it to your dealer and they will fix it under warrinty. (if your still covered)

They will see that rear sway and laugh at you...

The warranty does not cover squeeks that have been caused by stiffening up the suspension. Im with Mitsu on this one, your aftermarket part almost definately caused your issue.....

They might have the problem and not have a sway bar, but because he has the sway bar they will not cover the fix under warranty. You have to expect to get squeeks and other noises when putting on aftermarket suspension pieces......

Danno - face it, you have a nice dealership. Many do not appreciate aftermarket stuff and won't work on cars. There was one post where wouldn't work on a kids transmission because he put rims on it. Not everyone is nice. Yes, it could be a warranty issue, we're just stating that might not help.
