Engine trouble - CAI + Rain???
Friday I drove home from EIU to chicago and noticed a new problem that I think might be related to my cai and the heavy rain. When on the highway, i was in 5th doing around 70-80 and the car started jerking. Almost as if someone was taping the breaks. This only lasted for maybe three "jerks" and then stoped. I didn't think too much of it since it only happend once.
All weekend it was fine, but today when I got back on the highway it happend to me again and much for often. The first time was on an on ramp in 3rd gear while accelorating. Then later on it happend again just like on friday in 5th around 75-80 this time. It also happend alot more times tonight.
both times I was driving through some very heavy rain and beleive it might be because the grill that the air filter sits behind is completely solid anymore. Yes, I drilled out some of the diamonds on the stock grill. I did this last summer and have never had this problem before. Any comments or help would be greatly appreciated.

check and see if any water is inside the piping...if there is then take it apart and dry it all out...its sounds like you MAS might be a little damp and not giving a correct reading. if there is water then cover up those holes you drilled. you engine probably isn't damaged. it would only get really damages if you sucked up tons of water which would hydrolock it.
