The headlight adjustment unit on my car is not working for some time now. It is stuck to the lowest position and it makes driving in the night really tough.

I checked the 2006 Lancer FSM Manuals and I couldn't get any wiring info for the headlight adjustment. I swapped the adjustment switch from a friend's car and it still doesn't work.

Any pointers/tips/help please?

 

are you talking about electronic adjustments? It could be a fuse, relay, motor, wiring. You need a multimeter and schematics for your vehicle.
