I have a 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer and when I turn my air on the compressor make a on & then off rattling noise. How do I know for sure if it just needs refrigerant, a new barring or actual replacement of compressor? I went to a mechanic which unplugged the compressor & then the next day I had him re plug it in. The next day after that when i turned on the defrost in he car & went to drive out of a parking lot the car had a battery symbol on the LCD screen & said Maintenance Required & the car seemed to not want to drive but then it turned off & I drove fine. ( I also turned the air off)
