My daughter jumped her car backwards
My daughter jumped 05 mitsubishi lancer es backwards left cables on blew fuse on pos battery terminal i replaced that checked number 4 fuse under hood and number 8 fuse they are good u can smell fuel no spark any ideas please help
I would check every fuse*, and also verify the ECU is getting power with a DMM at the harness. Then try hooking up an OBD scanner to it and see if it will give you any codes. If the ECU isn't fried, it should at least be able to connect to the ecu.
* Visual inspection is not sufficient, you need to use a DMM in continuity mode (beeps when you touch the probes together) on the two metal test points on the top of the fuse to verify it's still good. Luckily this is pretty fast once you get going, much faster than pulling each fuse and looking at it.
DMM = Digital Multimeter

, That little guy protects the alternator. The link between the battery/alternator to the rest of the vehicles electrical system is fused here:
This is an evo though, so maybe different on a lancer? Either way, it needs to be replaced if it's blown.
