Power loss in all gears..

2004 lancer vrx

I’m currently having trouble with power loss in all gears 1-5.

Already replaced all the spark plugs, replaced both coil leads, however the coil lead for cylinder 1 won’t sit tight in the well and after driving for a while I’ll notice it’ll be popped out, would this be the problem with power loss or would it be more severe???

@leKay Sure, that coil lead may be the issue? Possible misfiring issue!

Have you used your scan tool, in the OBII port, to check for faults?

Cheers, Joe

Appreciate the advice mate, I’ll give it a shot tomorrow morning and update you if I find anything. Should I be looking for a specific code or just any that pop up, at the moment the check engine light isn’t on even with the engine losing power.

If the ECU is sensing a fault it should show up on the scan tool. Let us know which code is in there (if any) and that should help ID the issue

Curious the CEL is not on? but a fault code could still be in the ECU!

But, that coil wire issue must be corrected for sure!
