Once in awhile when i ease off the gas pedal while slowing down, the automatic transmission will go into neutral and then rev up the engine and go back into a gear. The result is a jerk and it doesn't sound very good on the transmission. Has anyone else with an automatic tranny experienced this??

 

yep..i got that problem. go to the dealer and complain about it..thats something i havent done yet.

 

I believe that's called an "upshift flare". We've got two lancers in for them, there's a TSB to be released shortly, apparnetly. bobaab is right, it's a warantee issue, as well.

 

yea that happened to me in another AT car...apparently it was due to too many burnouts...do u burnout man, i would hold the burnouts for a good....12 seconds mayb...so yea burnouts are a no-no!!!!

 

happens to me as well! maybe ill take it to the dealership to see whats up...they can replace my gauge cluster to lol

 

Never did a burn-out. I drive pretty conservatively. Thanks for the info Graeme. I'll go talk to my dealer about it.

 

hmmm...i think mines does it sometimes too gotta pay close attention to it next time i drive it..
