Unhappy help!!! steering problem

hi, i have a 2003 lancer es 5 spd. just recently my steering column started making a hissing noise like fluid rushing or something. I can only hear it in the car, not in engine bay, sounds like coming from right by firewall. only hear it when NOT making turns or using wheel, only make noise when steering system is not under pressure. please help me i am afraid something bad is about to happen. i have to use car and do not have money right now to take somewhere and get it checked out. thank you.
and please excuse my horrible typing.

If it's on the right side and sounds like a swishing noise when you turn, it's most likely just water from the AC not draining properly. I had the same problem on my OZ. I'ts an easy fix.

sorry i took so long the dealer wouldnt fix it cause they said i have an intake, i was furious, mitsu s*ucks i'm never buying from them again, "unless its an evo." its still making the noise, and as of now i dont care, if i lose steering and survive, i am sueing their a$$. i mean how could my intake have anything to do w/ my steering. the hissing noise is louder now also.
