Injen should provide a bushing to absorb some of the shock imo. Cheapest, simplest fix and requires no more manufacturing or recalls. Mine broke after 4-5 months btw. I only recently took it off and am running a ghetto short ram.

Raul, the break is on the piping's mount. It doesn't interfere with the intake's airflow or performance, it just makes the piping hang loose and rattle. I used to rattle most noticably when starting the car. It's not a life or death matter, but when you buy something you expect it to work...and besides that they have a warranty so why not take advantage of it?

Read someone filled the hole with duct tape. Like the bracket didn't rip but weld on the pipe did and pulled off piece of pipe along with the bracket. Guess the question for you guys is how easy to fix and or is Injen taking care of it?

It's not on the piping for me...I doubt it broke on the weld for most of us. The forked part the bolt slides into is the part that broke off for me. I can only assume that's what happened to everyone else.

Try to stop them from breaking by putting some sort of rubber washer/grommet in between the mouning points. That way it allows for some give. Less likely to break!

Rock Rulez...I think he helped you guys out more than the manufacturer ever did...

injens response would be something like>."Oh I have never heard of that problem before. It must be the way it was installed."

Im all too familiar with that line...i get paid every day to feed that bogus line to unsuspecting individuals with pool pumps

I agree Rob is the big
What other aftermarket tuner tells you of a cheap fix for a problem with the car (wheel hop) and doesn't turn around and tell you how much it's going to cost from his company, they are simply passing along pertinent info. Don't forget he's in business and could have easily told you RRM has cases of the stuff and you can buy it from him, and ya'll would've too. basically RRM

i broke mine a long time ago and they gave me the "ive never heard of that happening" spiel and said i would have to mail it in and it would take some ten days. they are based in pomona but said that i couldnt just take it up there to exchange it. pretty much sucks. im the one who covered the hole with duct tape, it works fine but looks ghetto...

Here is another broken INJEN that a bushing wouldn't fix. Customer just left it at the shop and bought AEM from us instead

Yuk!

Looks like someone sliced it with a pizza cutter....

With all the potholes, bumps, dips and cracks in the San Francisco roads, mine wouldn't last a day. Can't wait to get my SRI from you guys. Received everything but that so far!

Problem with it is that there is only that 3/4 of an inch weld and the rest is glued or something. Whoa!

Funny...my welds were fine. My mount broke. Look in my gallery for a couple pics for those interested. Still debating whether I'm gonna return the piping or not. I dunno if I feel like shipping it...royal PITA.

My injen just cracked also the other day, same problem as many I see...does Injen even have a warranty, or should I just get a new intake..i'm thinkin on AEM cold air, with blue tubing..to match under hood components...and is it okay just to tape up the crack for now, so atleast i'll be getting most of the air into the TB..

Try to warranty it. If that is a hassle, call us have blue AEM in stock.
