Talk to Hobie about Injens breaking. His CAI had something foul up on him but I can't remember what exactly.

Had 3 guys at shop on Saturday. 3 Injens, 2 of 3 broken. Huh.... Problem is mounting system is solid. It doesn't allow for engine movement. AEM uses rubber mounts to absorb movement and stop cracking off bracket and leaving a hole in the piping.

I was the lucky third guy. The Injen CAI is too rigid and has very little slack for any abrupt movents. I heard stories of the front welded mount breaking clean off.

hey buddy,

I was thinking about a great feature you could add to the site, have a poll for each category in the Parts Index, and let users of the website vote for their favorite. Only let members vote, and only allow one vote. This vote should also be able to be changed if a new product comes out.... I know there are some people who would really appreciate it, I know from experience it takes a lot of reading to figure out the best info in the forums

Yeah, the prongs on my CAI snapped. THey should just provide a bushing with it and it could probably solve a lot of the problem. Does the AEM's use the same typ of mount? BTW, it's all on the intake piping, not on the back end of the MAS adapter (the part with the vaccuum hose), right?

Well, now I know the difference between running a short ram and running a CAI. ...the sound of my exhaust and a wee bit of tq. As long as I get a replacement part and Injen doesn't try to screw me on shipping I really don't care personally. **** happens. Hopefully they fix the design a wee bit so it doesn't happen more.

I knew i wasn't the only one who has had this problem. I didn't hear people talk about it so i thought i was the one who got screwed. Injen should change that design or something. Are you guys just leaving that part broken like that??

You can't leave it leaking air through the side of the pipe if that is how it is broken.

I've had mine for quite a while now and don't have any problems with it.
