For some reason my car will not start. I havent done anything to the ignition or the ECU. Ive already replaced my clutch switch. We tried to bypass the clutch switch as well but it worked for a couple of times but went back to dead. Everything else comes on( lights, radio, ect). I was told the ignition switch, starter, and even the battery. I dont think its the starter because I thought that the starter gives signs of failure before it goes out. Im at boiling piont with this car and have decided to sell it after I fix the problem. Please help.

 

is there a fuse that could have blown when you bypassed the clutch switch?

 

I'm with Jason, check your fuses. Also check to make sure you haven't broken the circuit when you bypassed the clutch switch, or have created a short that is essentially showing the clutch is not engaged.

it was doing it before we tryed to bypass the clutch switch. its strange, I took it to my buddys dads shop and they couldnt find anything wrong and claened up the fuses and replaced them and slapped my fuse box a couple of times and it worked for a couple of days and it will still do the exact same thing...so if I give my fuse box a couple of slaps it will start.
